COULD NEW HAMPSHIRE SOON HAVE ITS OWN BORDER WAR?

Fed up by the stream of New Hampshire waterfront homes people who commute to Massachusetts for work, a Bay State lawmaker has introduced legislation designed to keep New Hampshire modular homes people on the northern side of the state line.
South Boston Rep. Giuseppe O’Shea says “ Massachusetts citizens are being robbed of their jobs, by these day laborers. Businesses who employ a New Hampshire fry cook, New Hampshire realtor or any New Hampshire resident would be required to register with the state and be subject to surprise inspections. If you were born in Massachusetts, O’Shea’s bill would exempt workers who currently live in New Hampshire. Now if they are up-to-date on their Massachusetts income taxes, the governor has proposed a guest worker program that would allow New Hampshire residents who already work in Massachusetts could remain to do so.
